I was watching a Jolie film from 95 to the sounds of www.abc.net.au/triplej/listen/default.htmwhen I noticed that whoever was at JJJ at that exact same time must be watching the movie, everything synched up!!.. oh, wait, that was my brain. If anyone is willing to trawl through newscientist.com you will find articles explaining that these synch-to-music-sleight-of-mind things are quite normal when you are entering that altered state of conciousness which is watching a movie and listening to a soundtrack. but how would I know? I recently read an article which suggested that our memories are not static, that is to say each time I remember a memory, I am re-writing it into it's memory-bank (poor choice of words I know). But it's true. THis means that some memories we have can actually be largely false despite retaining the 'essential elements' of the true experience which was first encoded by one's mind. To put it in short, you only find what you were looking for. This could be said in a quantum sense: The experimenter has an effect on the experiment. Or A self-fulling prophecy... if enough believe, it will become so.
