I'd like to hear your feelings on a new Pink Floyd album before and after it's release.

I keep getting the feeling, fallible as I am, that they'll rename it. Something more enigmatic maybe. Where's DNA when you need a good title.

Hey Solar Max!

I was fairly shocked when I heard about this. I am as hesitant about being excited about it as I am the new Star Wars movies. Ya, great. But my expectations have kinda been shattered. The last Gilmore album was simply sleepy. I didn't play it much. (The last JJ Abrams thing I saw was unwatchable, and ep I-III sucked). So, I'm kinda ready for disappointment, but having Wright in there is promising and surprising.

I hope it's amazing. I'll be pre-ordering it if possible. If it sucks, well... I think there was a string of "glory" albums and anything isn't going to compare with those anyways. It'll be what it is. I hope to enjoy it -- I haven't found anything that has musically excited me for many years.

I take it all back: There is only one of these on the entire Internet, at a site called pinkfloyd-pinkmoon.blogspot.com. Maybe the artist reads amp-f.

Wouldn't mind seeing an eight-pointed star on the cover of the cd, just to tie it all together.

Just saw a track list of TER. In a bit of synchronicity (and I kid you not), I have been writing over the last year or so a song I was going to send to Polly Samson at her website (she says she reads all messages?).

Title...

Goes Without Saying

The first two lines are

goes without saying
words get in the way

Even had the tune for those two lines.

I have about ten lines (each is a song title in itself really), in no particular order, which run in the same vein.

The track list of TER...

begins with Things Left Unsaid
ends with Louder Than Words

As I said, a bit of synchronicity.

TER is their solution to the Publius Enigma (one of a myriad) but it's an instrumental.

The tune is essentially an extension of speech, and if you sing the words of the two lines, I think that you will sing the same tune I did.

What is the difference between speech and music?

I've collected a lot of Pink Floyd's music but have not seen (I should say heard) that boot. At this point, I will wait til 11-11 to hear what they have for us.

Like you, Phil, I was a little afraid this item might be as sleepy. But I pulled out TDB and let run about 30 times over in my car the last few weeks. Every time Marooned came round, I'd think, "This is what that album should be like." I hope it is some-what-(w)right.

I just saw the title list in a news story. I must say the one that caught my eye is Talkin' Hawkin. I guess some things should never change. I know other things must.
